Pallacanestro Titano has claimed its first league victory of the season, defeating 4 Torri Ferrara 84-66 at the Multieventi. It was a true team effort, forged over three hard-fought quarters and sealed with a commanding final period of 26-13.
Ferrara answered the home side’s strong start with a 9-0 run, but a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Fusco handed the Titans the first quarter 16-15. The balance of play continued up to the break, which ended 36-35, thanks in part to Benzi’s energy and baskets from Macina and Rinaldi.
In the second half, the visitors stayed in the game through Seravalli and Frigieri. Titano found scoring from beyond the arc with Rinaldi, Macina and Amati, moving ahead 58-53 at the end of the third quarter.
The turning point came at the start of the final period: 18-year-old Federico San Martini drained a three-pointer to make it 63-53. Rinaldi held the margin, and Amati struck again from long range for 74-61 with three minutes remaining, extinguishing any hopes of a comeback from the visitors.
Fusco finished with 18 points, followed by Rinaldi with 16, Amati with 13 and Benzi with 11. Four Titans players reached double figures, two of whom came off the bench. For Ferrara, 19 points from Frigieri and 18 from Seravalli were not enough.
