During the three-day Sport in Fiera event, the swimming pool at the Multieventi Sport Domus reopened to the public after more than a month of closure for major routine and extraordinary maintenance work.
In the first phase, work was carried out to reline the water-recovery channel along the stand side and the changing-room side of the pool. A new drainage grille was then installed in front of the hygiene stations, and finally a new resin flooring was laid across the entire pool deck, offering a higher friction coefficient than the previous surface. This last intervention, together with the renewal of the signage indicating pool depths, helps improve safety for swimmers.
These extraordinary works were complemented by routine maintenance: a deep clean of the changing rooms, bathrooms and pool deck area, along with the restoration of the surface of some shower dividers and the installation of new wall-mounted soap dispensers — all aimed at bringing the spaces up to proper hygiene standards and making them more comfortable for users.
The pool’s reopening was marked, during Sport in Fiera, with three days of free admission from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. As of yesterday, the winter schedule has come into effect, with the following opening hours for the public: Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Alongside the works at the Multieventi Sport Domus pool, the Tavolucci facility also underwent a restyling, with the changing rooms — including walls, ceilings and wooden fixtures — repainted, along with the walls on the short side of the pool deck.
