China’s economic outlook and development strategies took center stage in a meeting with students from the Scuola Superiore di San Marino (San Marino’s upper secondary school). On the morning of Monday, October 5, fourth and fifth-year classes from the Liceo Economico attended a conference at Sala Ferroni held by Lorenzo Riccardi, President of the EU SME Centre and San Marino’s Special Envoy to Shanghai.
“At Sala Ferroni in San Marino, on the morning of Monday, October 5, the fourth and fifth-year classes of the Liceo Economico took part in the conference ‘China 2030: economy, industry and technology, international partnerships and the five-year economic plan,’ with speaker Lorenzo Riccardi, President of the EU SME Centre and San Marino’s Special Envoy to Shanghai,” the statement reads.
The meeting, focused on economy, industry, technology and international partnerships, also examined China’s five-year economic plan. The overall picture was built up through an exploration of the distinct characteristics of the country’s various regions.
“In the presence of the President of the San Marino-China Association and President of the Confucius Institute, participants explored China’s economic and cultural expansion strategies, starting from the geographical, historical and socio-political features of its different provinces,” the statement reports.
Part of the conference was devoted to the performance of China’s economy over the past decade, with particular attention to its trade balance and gross domestic product. “Detailed economic data from China over the last 10 years was presented, highlighting significant economic growth in terms of trade balance and GDP,” the statement concludes.
