The Montecchio sports ground hosted the San Marino Special Cup over the weekend of 19–20 September, a five-a-side football tournament organized by the Federazione Sammarinese Sport Speciali (San Marino Federation for Special Sports) in collaboration with the Federazione Sammarinese Giuoco Calcio (San Marino Football Federation).
Ten teams competed for the title: ASD Albano Primavera, Ass. Fuorigioco ODV, ASD Calcio Veneto, Insuperabili, Parma Special, San Marino, Sportinsieme Castellarano, Samba Rimini, Special Olympics Monaco, and ASD Sport “in”…Veneto.
The final victory went to the team from Lazio, Albano Primavera, who beat Sportinsieme Castellarano 2-1. It was the club’s second title in the tournament, after their first triumph in 2023. The San Marino team finished sixth overall.
The organizers extended heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers whose efforts once again made the event a resounding success.
