An award honoring women capable of leaving their mark on society through dedication and commitment. This is the spirit behind the Emma Rossi International Prize, whose ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 24 at 9 p.m. at the Teatro Titano, in San Marino’s historic center.
The event, titled “Women who change the world” (“Donne che cambiano il mondo”), will open with remarks from the president of the Emma Rossi Association, Patrizia Busignani, who will present the award and introduce the candidates. Greetings will follow from Secretaries of State Teodoro Lonfernini, head of Education and Culture, and Massimo Andrea Ugolini, in charge of Health and Social Security.
At the heart of the evening will be a conversation on women’s presence and contribution in medicine and scientific research, featuring Antonella Polimeni, Bianca Caruso, Anna Castellucci and Maria Luana Stacchini, the jury’s president and members.
The ceremony will continue with the announcement of the winner and her keynote lecture. The event will be moderated by Laura Rossi, vice president of the Emma Rossi Association. The initiative is held under the patronage of the Secretariats of State for Education and Culture and for Health and Social Security. Admission is free and open to all.
