The Pallacanestro Titano closes out its transfer market with Niccolò Rinaldi. It’s an experienced addition for the Titans, bringing back to San Marino a player who has spent much of his career competing at levels above Serie C. For Rinaldi, it also marks a return: he previously wore the San Marino jersey during the 2016/2017 season.
«Niccolò Rinaldi is an athlete of great experience and quality who has played in higher-level championships,» commented president Alessandro Bronzetti. «He’s the kind of player we need to make the leap in quality that’s been missing in recent years.»
The Titans’ interest, Rinaldi explains, goes back a while. «There was interest as far back as last year, when I started pre-season training here before signing with Mantova in October. Contacts existed and then continued at the start of this summer.» Conversations with Marco Stefanelli and Michele Amadori were also decisive, along with the impressions he got from the new project: «I sensed great energy. I thought it over and accepted — it had been a long time since I felt this motivated to start a season.»
Rinaldi will reunite with several players he knows well, starting with Dave Macina, Fusco and Ugolini, as well as a coaching staff with whom he already shares a strong relationship. «I’m really fired up, we’re strong,» the new signing pointed out.
The ambitions for 2026/2027 are just as clear. Rinaldi knows he’s being asked to take on an important leadership role, while still putting himself at the service of the team. «For me, the most important thing is winning. The goal is the playoffs, and to get as much satisfaction out of this as possible. Then we’ll see, without setting ourselves any limits. We can grow a lot over the course of the season. I can’t wait to get started.»
