A dialogue between institutions and professionals aimed at boosting administrative simplification, digitalising services and building a more direct relationship with businesses and operators. This was the focus of the training course promoted by Palazzo Mercuri together with the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts (Ordine dei Dottori Commercialisti e degli Esperti Contabili), held at the Sala Montelupo in Domagnano.
Lawyers, accountants and industry technicians took part in the initiative to explore the procedures and practical workings of inspection checks. The meeting, organised by the State Secretariat for Industry and the State Secretariat for Labour, aimed to strengthen dialogue between the administration and professional categories.
During the morning session, department heads Maurizio Neri, for the Labour Department, and Valentina Vicari, for the Economic Activities Office, presented “the new explanatory circulars and operational protocols developed to make inspections transparent, precise and consistent,” the statement reads.
The administration’s stated approach is to cut red tape and speed up procedures. “The primary goal remains eliminating unnecessary bureaucratic bottlenecks. Digitalising procedures, speeding up response times and ensuring procedural certainty are the pillars of this transformation,” the statement continues.
According to Palazzo Mercuri, the new approach aims to turn inspections into a guarantee rather than an obstacle for businesses. “The executive’s aim is not to toughen sanctions or turn inspections into a brake on those who produce. On the contrary, the intent is to build a business-friendly administration capable of supporting users and streamlining every step,” the statement adds.
State Secretaries Rossano Fabbri and Alessandro Bevitori underlined the significance of the initiative: “Strengthening legality does not mean burdening the system, but rather offering clear guarantees to those who choose to do business in our country. Inspections are not a punitive axe, but a shield protecting a healthy economic fabric. When public action engages openly with local technicians and professionals, regulatory and operational compliance becomes a genuine factor of international attractiveness.”
The dialogue with professional associations will continue in the coming months. As the statement points out, “modernising the public machine requires ongoing cooperation, and today’s collective response confirms that the path of innovation and simplification meets a deep-seated need of the entire national system.”
