Tense moments unfolded overnight between Thursday and Friday in Riccione, where a man of about 30 years old, apparently in an altered psychophysical state, allegedly first attacked a group of minors and then went on a rampage between viale Milano and piazzale Roma, just steps away from viale Ceccarini.
According to initial reconstructions, everything reportedly began with an argument involving two men and several minors. The young people managed to get away, while one of the two adults allegedly continued to cause disturbances throughout the city streets.
Based on witness accounts, the 30-year-old allegedly tried to open the doors of several passing cars, climbed onto the hoods of some vehicles, and even attempted to take a scooter. He then reportedly turned on a Start Romagna public bus, repeatedly striking it with his head.
Due to the injuries sustained during these actions, the man was given medical assistance and transferred to Bufalini Hospital in Cesena. His condition has not been disclosed.
The Carabinieri responded to the scene, bringing the situation under control and are now working to establish precisely what occurred. Initial findings suggest no one was injured by weapons or stabbing, and the man’s injuries appear to have resulted from his violent, self-inflicted impact with the bus.
Investigations by the Carabinieri are ongoing to clarify the exact sequence of events and determine whether any measures will be taken against the man involved in the incident.
