Work continues on the projects planned under the 2026 Road Resurfacing Plan in the Republic of San Marino. The Secretariat of State for Territory and Environment issued a statement thanking the Azienda Autonoma di Stato per i Lavori Pubblici (AASLP, the State Public Works Agency), technicians, workers on site and citizens for their cooperation during the execution of the works.
In the statement, the Secretariat expressed “heartfelt thanks to the Azienda Autonoma di Stato per i Lavori Pubblici (AASLP), to its technicians, operational staff and the contracted companies for the important work they are carrying out as part of the 2026 Road Resurfacing Plan, which affects numerous streets across the Republic according to a defined and structured schedule.”
The goal of the works is to improve the safety and quality of the road network. “The ongoing works represent a concrete investment in road safety, urban aesthetics and the quality of the road network, with projects spread across all the Castelli that will significantly improve the drivability of our roads,” the statement notes.
Thanks were also extended to residents and road users for their patience during the works. “Special thanks also go to citizens, residents, business operators and all road users for the patience, cooperation and civic responsibility shown during the execution of the works. We are aware that projects of this scale inevitably bring temporary inconvenience, traffic changes and delays, but these interventions are essential to ensure safer and more efficient infrastructure.”
The Secretariat finally confirmed that it will continue to monitor the programme’s progress until the works are completed. “The Secretariat will continue to monitor the progress of the programme, in constant collaboration with AASLP, to ensure that the works are completed within the planned timeframe and with the utmost attention to quality. Investing in infrastructure maintenance means investing in citizens’ safety and in the care of our territory: a commitment that the Government intends to pursue with continuity and concrete action.”
