University of San Marino: Pascucci thanks the Captains Regent

A recognition of the University’s role and its relationship with the country. The new rector, Paolo Pascucci, has expressed appreciation for the passage dedicated to the institution by Captains Regent Gerardo Giovagnoli and William Casali in their inaugural address on October 1st.

Pascucci conveyed to the heads of state his “warm appreciation and sincere thanks” for the “special consideration given to the University.” “This message,” the academic explained, “represents a further boost of confidence and is a source of great enthusiasm for our university community, as well as an incentive to keep doing good work, in the interest of a country with which we are interacting in an increasingly constructive and effective way.”

In their address, the Captains Regent described the University of San Marino as “a genuine strategic driving force,” highlighting its “capacity to innovate, promote knowledge and attract expertise.” This role, they stressed, “takes on even greater value when research, training and expertise are able to engage with the institutions and with the country’s economic and social fabric, helping to generate new professional skills and opportunities.”

For Pascucci, it is also significant that the Regency recognized the University’s international projects and its standing within the academic community. The Captains Regent pointed to the value of “its internationally renowned projects, its undisputed recognitions and its broad standing within the academic community,” describing the University as “an integral part of that cultural and civic infrastructure that allows a country to look to the future while strengthening its own identity.”
