The United Nations must regain its capacity to decide and, above all, to act. That was the message delivered by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani in his address to the UN General Assembly in New York.
«Too often this Organization appears powerless», Tajani said, also stressing that the Security Council «must not be an exclusive club». In his speech, the minister also reaffirmed Italy’s commitment to a universal moratorium on the death penalty.
The head of the Farnesina closed his address by returning to the theme of peace, describing it as a daily responsibility that must be defended and patiently built.
