San Marino sets a European example: ten coaches graduate from first UEFA C Futsal course

A pioneering programme developed with UEFA sees ten new coaches earn their futsal diploma after four months of training.

Ten new futsal coaches have earned their UEFA C diploma at the conclusion of a course organised by the San Marino Football Federation (FSGC). The initiative is a pilot project – the first of its kind in Europe – developed in partnership with UEFA.

The training programme ran from January to May 2026, comprising 72 hours of lessons divided into four modules.

Carlo Chiarabini, head of the FSGC’s Training Department, outlined the work behind the course, noting that it received final approval from the UEFA Panel only a few weeks ago.

Chiarabini also thanked Roberto Osimani, head coach of San Marino’s national futsal team, for his collaboration, along with the federation officials who supported the project.

The Federation is already considering a second edition of the course. The UEFA C Futsal licence is a prerequisite for progressing to the next level, the UEFA B Futsal course, which is expected to be organised within the next two years.
