San Marino thrash Anenii Noi 4-0, Vojvodina decider now awaits

Luigi Bizzotto's side cruise past the Moldovans and set up a decisive clash for a place in the UEFA Regions' Cup finals.

NAT San Marino have beaten Anenii Noi 4-0, keeping their hopes alive for the final phase of the UEFA Regions’ Cup 2026-27. Luigi Bizzotto’s side dominated the Moldovan opposition and now turn their attention to Wednesday’s decisive showdown with Vojvodina.

Captain Ciacci opened the scoring with a header from a Garcia Rufer corner. The blue-and-whites created numerous chances, but a combination of wayward finishing and fine saves from Sanduta meant they went into the break with only a one-goal cushion.

The second half followed a similar pattern. After further missed opportunities, San Marino put the game to bed with two goals in the space of a hundred seconds: Belward doubled the lead with his left foot, before Ura found Sartini — on just moments earlier — in the middle for the third.

Late on, it was Soufiane Belward again who struck. The winger shook off a defender at the edge of the box and curled the ball into the top corner with his left foot, completing his personal brace and sealing the 4-0 rout.

Wednesday’s meeting with Vojvodina will decide who reaches the final phase. Bizzotto is also awaiting UEFA’s disciplinary ruling on Imre Badalassi, who missed the Moldova match after being sent off in the opening game against Ptuj.
