A brawl turned into a knife fight in the dead of night on Rimini’s seafront. It happened around 4 a.m. between Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16, in the area near the port and the nightlife venues.
According to initial reconstructions, the clash involved several young men of North African origin. What began as a verbal dispute quickly escalated into physical violence, until knives were drawn.
The toll stands at three young men injured, who were treated by emergency medical personnel and transferred to the Bufalini Hospital in Cesena. One of them, struck in the chest, underwent surgery. According to preliminary reports, none of the three is believed to be in life-threatening condition.
Carabinieri, police, three ambulances and a medical response vehicle were dispatched to the seafront. By the time law enforcement arrived, some of those involved in the brawl had reportedly already fled the scene.
An investigation by the carabinieri is now underway; officers have interviewed several witnesses and are reviewing footage from surveillance cameras in the area. The goal is to reconstruct what triggered the clash and identify all the young people involved.
