The channel of the “Le Vallette” Park in Ostellato, in the province of Ferrara, was the star setting for a weekend of competitive fishing under the San Marino flag, which saw the titles of the San Marino Team Championship, the Club Championship and the Under 18 Promotional category all decided.
On Saturday 3 October, the first day of the team and club championship took place, won by Team A of Cannisti Dogana, made up of Renzo Francioni, Marco Scarponi, Giancarlo Fusini and Filippo Scarponi. On Sunday, the second and final stage once again saw Cannisti Dogana’s Team A triumph, securing not only the national title but also the opportunity to represent San Marino at the 2027 Club World Championship.
The same venue also hosted the fourth and final round of the 2026 Promotional Championship for the provinces of Rimini, Forlì-Cesena and Ravenna in the Under 18 category. Thanks to Sunday’s win, Francesco Biordi was crowned champion, followed on the podium by Italy’s Daniele De Paoli in second place, with San Marino’s own Daniele Clementi taking third.
