Classic cars to roll through San Marino as Modena Cento Ore returns

Ferrari, Porsche, Jaguar, Alfa Romeo and other historic marques will cross through San Marino on the first day of competition in the Modena Cento Ore 2026. The cars can be seen on Wednesday 7 October in Piazza della Libertà, from 8 to 10 a.m.

The event, organised by Canossa Events in collaboration with Scuderia Tricolore, will bring a hundred crews onto the roads, over 90% of them from abroad. The selected cars span a period from the 1930s to the 1980s: among those entered are an Alfa Romeo 8C Monza and a Bentley 4¼ Litre, alongside cars from Maserati, Lancia, De Tomaso and BMW.

The passage through Titano will come right after the start in Riccione. Crews will then head on towards San Leo, Pennabilli, Passo della Cantoniera, Urbania and Urbino, before reaching the Misano World Circuit in the afternoon for the first track race. A return to Riccione is scheduled for the evening.

Running from 6 to 11 October, the 2026 edition offers a route of nearly a thousand kilometres, from the Adriatic to the Tyrrhenian coast and on to Modena, crossing Emilia-Romagna, Marche and Tuscany. The sporting programme includes ten special stages and races at three circuits: Misano, Imola and Mugello.

The cars are divided into Competition and Regularity categories, which follow the same roads but are judged by different criteria. In the former, speed is what counts, with circuit races and hillclimb stages on roads closed to traffic; in the latter, precision and consistency in driving are rewarded.

Founded in 2000, the Modena Cento Ore combines competition with a journey through landscapes, historic towns and cultural landmarks. San Marino will therefore be one of the first stops on the route, with the cars passing through the heart of the historic centre.
