Today, Tuesday 29 September, the IGR tax refund for the year 2024 is being credited to the SMaC Cards of those entitled to it, confirmed by a text message sent to the phone number linked to the card.
Anyone not reached by this first payment has not missed the deadline: the SMaC Card service will repeat the operation every Monday morning until 28 December.
The credit, explains the Secretariat of State for Finance and Budget, is issued according to the taxpayer’s ISS code registered on the card. The SMS shows the card number, the beneficiary’s name, the amount and the reason for payment.
The Monday follow-ups cover two situations: those who were not identified in the first round because they had no card or no registered ISS code, and those who received only a partial refund because their card had reached its rechargeable ceiling.
