Fifty years of art, training and encounters told through the works of those who have attended the Laboratorio d’arte di Domagnano (Domagnano Art Workshop) from 1976 to today. The exhibition “Sono ‘solo’ 50 anni” (“It’s ‘only’ 50 years”), organized to celebrate the Workshop’s half-century of activity, will open on Saturday, October 10 at 5 p.m., at the Dogana Social Centre.
The exhibition will be hosted in the spaces of the Dogana Social Centre, at piazza M. Tini 7, and will remain open until October 23, during the centre’s regular opening hours. Admission is free.
“Since 1976 the Workshop has been a place of training, artistic growth and encounter,” – reads the presentation of the initiative –. Founded by Dr Luigi Molaroni and surveyor Antonio Faetanini, over the course of half a century it has seen a succession of teachers and artists who have guided different generations along their artistic paths.
Among them are Marina Busignani Reffi, Rosolino Martelli and Vittorio Valentini, who “contributed to the artistic training of entire generations.”
A history that has continued through several changes of premises as well. “Despite moving to different locations, the Workshop has carried on without interruption, thanks also to the dedication of master Furiano Cesari,” the organizers explain.
The exhibition will trace these fifty years through works created by the people who have attended the Workshop, bringing together experiences belonging to different periods and generations.
“The exhibition celebrates a history made of art, passion and sharing, told through the works of those who have attended the Workshop over these fifty years,” the Dogana Social Centre points out.
The opening event is thus set for Saturday, October 10 at 5 p.m. The exhibition will then remain open to visitors until Friday, October 23. For information, you can contact the Dogana Social Centre at 0549 885518.
