Punches thrown in the middle of the street, a young man injured and two men reported to police. That is the outcome of a brawl that broke out on Thursday evening in the heart of Marina Centro, in Rimini.
It all happened around 10:30 p.m. on Viale Vespucci, near the Toki restaurant. An argument over trivial matters between two foreign nationals quickly escalated into a fistfight.
One of the two came off worse, taking several blows and ending up wandering along the avenue covered in blood.
The alarm prompted the intervention of two police patrol cars and an ambulance from the 118 emergency service. Officers restored calm and identified those involved in the scuffle, while paramedics tended to the injured man.
Both men were reported to police for brawling. However, the case may not be closed: investigators are reviewing footage from security cameras in the area to determine whether other people took part in the fight before leaving the scene ahead of the patrols’ arrival.
