Two podium finishes for Paola Carinato and Team Canicross San Marino at the second stage of the 2026-27 Italian circuit, held on Sunday, October 25 in Franciacorta.
More than 100 dog-and-handler teams from across Italy tackled a 4.3-kilometer course featuring tight turns, slippery ground and demanding climbs.
In the scooter event, Carinato and Icy finished third overall and first in their category, after opening with the first kilometer covered in 2:34.
An hour later, the athlete returned to the same course with Arya for the canicross race, taking second place in 20:38.
A productive double outing ahead of the World Championships. «I’m pleased with this pre-worlds test. The course was tricky to read, but the dogs handled the difficulties superbly,» said Carinato.
