Ten shows from October to April at the Little Tony Auditorium

Serravalle's "Teatro Vivo 26/27" season opens October 16 with immersive theatre, improv comedy and an interactive fantasy show.

Ten evenings, every Friday at 9pm, from October 16 to April 9. This is the new theatre season at the Little Tony Auditorium in Serravalle, titled Teatro Vivo 26/27, under the artistic direction of Vo.Ci. Volontari Civici nei Castelli and with the patronage of Serravalle’s Castle Council (Giunta di Castello). The programme features comedy, improvisation and music, as well as formats that draw the audience in, ranging from immersive theatre to an interactive role-playing show.

Opening the season on October 16 is the Forlì-based company Qaos Gruppo Teatrale, active since 1994, with Amori da marciapiede (“Sidewalk Loves”), a roving theatrical experience conceived and directed by Alberto Sebastian Ricci. For one night, the Auditorium transforms into the “Elite Noir,” an imaginary venue where spectators move between tables following monologues and songs performed by prostitutes, gigolos and other marginal figures, guided by the hostess Viola del Ciondolo. The texts draw loosely on the work of Pier Paolo Pasolini and Dacia Maraini. The show is recommended for adult audiences.

On November 6, it’s the turn of the Bologna-based company Teatro a Molla with So’Shemi, a comic improvisation piece. The premise imagines a tournament held once every thousand years, in which the finest storytellers of the East compete in trials of courage and narrative skill — with one twist: to prove their honour, each competitor must help their rivals win.

December 4 brings the most unusual evening of the season, Dungeon World: The Show, staged by On The Fly Theatre, a company operating within Vo.Ci. Three actors play the heroes of a fantasy story built in real time by a Game Master, while the audience uses their smartphones to vote on the protagonists’ decisions and steer the plot. The show is supported by the publisher Narrattiva.

The rest of the programme continues into 2027: L’altro amore by Pallozzi, Lavorante and Ruscitti on January 15; Vo.Ci.’s Nova Armonia AI Music Festival on January 29; Jazz in maschera by the Rimini Jazz Club on February 5; Vicini… perfetti by La Compagnia del Vicolo on February 26; L’inquilino by Compagnia Korekanè on March 12; Senti-Menti by La Compagnia della Clavicola on March 19; and Pinzillacchere in soffitta by Gli Histrionici on April 9.

Throughout the season, additional shows, dialect comedies, talks and special events are also planned.
