The experience of Eva Bombagioni at the 42nd Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championship, held in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from 12 to 16 August, has come to a close. The young gymnast was accompanied by coach Monica Garbarino, Competition Official Federica Protti and Head of Delegation Fabrizio Castiglioni.
This marked Eva’s first World Championship, a particularly important debut that the young gymnast faced with great character, showing from the very first routines a remarkable ability to manage her emotions and maintain concentration.
The competition began in the best possible way. Eva took to the floor with the clubs, performing a clean, confident and expressive routine, free of drops and with strong artistic interpretation. It was a performance that immediately highlighted her determination and the confidence with which she approached such an important stage. Her second routine of the day, with the ribbon, also confirmed the gymnast’s good form, as she maintained a composed and focused attitude.
On the second day of competition, a few mistakes crept in, with a drop in both the ball and hoop routines. However, Eva reacted promptly, refusing to let the setbacks affect her, and completed both routines with determination while maintaining good expressive quality.
Eva Bombagioni concluded her first World Championship in 71st place out of 84 competing gymnasts, in a top-level competition featuring athletes from the world’s leading gymnastics schools.
Particularly notable was the assessment from the technical staff, who especially praised the attitude shown by the gymnast throughout the event: self-assured, calm and able to control her emotions despite the significance of the occasion.
