Ernesto Cristiano, Laura Cordani and Gianmarco Ercolani took part last weekend in the pre-season training camp organized by Italy’s National Referees Commission for Serie C (CAN C) in Cascia, in the province of Perugia, aimed at preparing and planning for the 2026-27 sporting season. San Marino’s FIFA assistant referees underwent tests and classroom sessions alongside their Italian counterparts.
Also present in Cascia was Christian Brighi, refereeing advisor to the President of the San Marino Football Federation (FSGC) and a member of the CAN C Commission, as well as deputy match official assignor to Nicola Giovanni Ayroldi. It was a valuable opportunity for Cristiano, Cordani and Ercolani, one that only a physical issue kept Michele Beltrano — San Marino’s international referee — from being able to join.
