An afternoon devoted to exploring one of San Marino’s historic monumental complexes. On Sunday 11 October, the Emma Rossi Association is organising a guided tour of the church and convent of Santa Maria dei Servi in Valdragone, retracing the history and artistic and architectural heritage of the complex, which dates back to the 15th century.
Participants will be accompanied by architect Maurizio Del Din and local history scholar Laura Rossi. The meeting point is set for 3pm on the church forecourt, from where the tour will set off, taking in the interior spaces of the church and convent, the cloister and the kitchen garden. The visit is expected to conclude around 5.30pm.
The event is open to everyone, with the option of leaving a voluntary donation. For organisational purposes, attendance must be confirmed by Saturday 10 October, either by phone call or text message to 335 5323012 or 335 6500652.
Particular attention should be paid to road conditions. Due to the Rallylegend event, until 3.30pm the convent can only be reached by avoiding Via O. Scarito — closed between Piazza Mercatale and the roundabout on the superstrada — and Strada Sesta Gualdaria, closed in the stretch between the junction with Via Agnellino da Piandavello and the one with Strada Greppa del Cerreto.
