The 2026-2027 hunting season begins today in San Marino. The first sessions, on 2, 5, 9, 13 and 16 September, will be reserved for migratory game hunted from fixed hides, while the general opening is set for 20 September.
The calendar covers a total of 40 species of birds and mammals and confirms the continued ban on grey partridge hunting. Among the new rules is a prohibition on leaving markers or objects to “reserve” temporary hunting hides.
As reported by San Marino RTV, the request from APAS to postpone the start of the season — in light of the drought, high temperatures and the water emergency declared in the Republic — was not granted.
