San Marino bids farewell to Matteo Fiorini: funeral set for Tuesday

Vigil and Rosary this evening at the Church of Murata, funeral rites tomorrow at 10am

San Marino is preparing to bid its final farewell to Matteo Fiorini, who passed away in recent days at the age of 48.

The funeral vigil, with the recitation of the Rosary, is scheduled for this evening, Monday 24 August, at 8.30pm at the Church of Murata.

The funeral will be held in the same church on Tuesday 25 August at 10am, when family members, friends, institutional representatives and citizens will gather to honour the memory of the former Captain Regent.

Fiorini, an engineer and a longstanding figure in San Marino’s political and institutional life, held over the years the roles of Captain Regent, Secretary of State for Territory, and member of the Grand and General Council (Consiglio Grande e Generale).
