Door-to-door glass collection in Chiesanuova will not take place on Saturday, October 10. The announcement comes from the State Agency for Public Services (Azienda Autonoma di Stato per i Servizi Pubblici, A.A.S.S.), which explained that the road changes linked to Rallylegend make it impossible to carry out the service as usual.
“The upcoming start of Rallylegend and the resulting changes to road traffic require a temporary reorganisation of environmental services in the Castello of Chiesanuova,” the statement reads. “Traffic restrictions along the affected roads make it impossible for work vehicles to operate safely.”
The suspension applies exclusively to residents of Chiesanuova. The A.A.S.S. is therefore asking residents to keep their glass at home until the next scheduled collection: “Users are asked not to put out these containers on Saturday, and to hold on to the material until the next scheduled pick-up.”
The request is aimed at keeping the roads involved in the event clear. “It only takes a small effort. This precaution is necessary to avoid unnecessary obstacles along the roads used by the rally cars,” the statement continues.
Collection will resume with the next scheduled round, according to the normal timetable. The A.A.S.S. thanks residents for their cooperation.
