A fire broke out last night at around 9:30 pm in the sports facilities area of Pietracuta, near the “Claudio Bindi” municipal stadium. The flames engulfed several old containers that had previously been used as changing rooms by San Marino Calcio.
Two fire brigade teams responded to the scene to extinguish the blaze and secure the area. Carabinieri from the Novafeltria company also arrived and launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
The cause remains unclear. At this stage no hypothesis has been ruled out, including that of arson.
