At Laiala Park, the first “depaving” project is taking shape, with asphalt being removed and replaced by permeable concrete.
The initiative, promoted by the Secretariat of State for Territory, aims to make surfaces more permeable: instead of traditional waterproof paving, a material is being used that allows rainwater to pass through and be absorbed into the ground, helping to reduce surface runoff.
This first intervention introduces a new paving solution for the spaces within Laiala Park, with the goal of combining the area’s usability with improved management of rainwater.
