New works are set to begin at the cemeteries of Fiorentino and Faetano. The State Congress has approved two resolutions giving the green light to a pair of projects aimed at upgrading and improving San Marino’s cemetery facilities.
In Fiorentino, the project involves demolishing and subsequently rebuilding the burial niches (loculi), while in Faetano the plan focuses on the construction of new ossuaries.
Both measures form part of the broader cemetery renovation project led by the Secretariat of State for Internal Affairs together with the Secretariat of State for Territory and Environment, which includes a series of structural interventions planned across the various cemeteries of the Republic.
With the approval of these two new resolutions, the plan takes another step forward, addressing the needs of the Fiorentino and Faetano facilities and expanding the availability of new spaces.
