San Marino and Lonely Planet seal partnership at TTG to promote the Titan worldwide

A panel at Rimini's TTG Travel Experience highlighted the new tourism partnership between San Marino and Lonely Planet.

The partnership between San Marino and Lonely Planet took centre stage during the panel “San Marino, tutta un’altra storia” (“San Marino, a whole different story”), held this afternoon in the Sala Abete at the TTG Travel Experience in Rimini. The discussion focused on the Republic’s tourism positioning and its strategies for international promotion, highlighting its historical heritage, culture and the experiences on offer across the territory.

Taking part in the round table were Federico Pedini Amati, Secretary of State for Tourism, Nicoletta Corbelli, head of the Tourism Office, Angelo Pittro, director of Lonely Planet Italia, and Massimo Feruzzi, CEO of JFC Tourism and Management.

“Our collaboration with Lonely Planet represents an extraordinary opportunity to tell San Marino’s story to millions of travellers around the world through an authoritative and internationally recognised voice. The strong turnout at TTG confirms the growing interest in a destination that focuses on quality hospitality, authentic experiences and the promotion of its own identity,” said Pedini Amati.

San Marino’s presence at the fair takes the form of a 112-square-metre stand, located in Hall A2, space 132-204, inaugurated on the opening day. Alongside the Tourism Office are twelve San Marino operators, engaged in B2B meetings with international buyers to promote and market the destination’s offerings.

“Being featured within Lonely Planet means becoming part of the narrative of destinations that travellers worldwide choose to explore and experience,” Corbelli pointed out. “For San Marino, this partnership marks an important step in the international promotion strategy we are pursuing, as it allows us to showcase our historical, cultural and scenic heritage through a globally authoritative and recognised platform. The response we’ve received at TTG confirms that interest is growing in an authentic destination capable of offering quality experiences and a distinctive tourism proposal. Our goal is to keep telling San Marino’s unique story, reaching new markets and new generations of travellers.”

In the afternoon, Filippo Francini, director of the Department of Tourism, also met with Michele de Pascale, President of the Emilia-Romagna Region. Now in its 63rd edition, TTG features more than 200 events dedicated to the latest trends in tourism and hospitality.
