Futsal: Tre Fiori thrash Murata 5-0, Pennarossa alone at the top

Tre Fiori end Murata’s long unbeaten run, while La Fiorita and Pennarossa also cruise to big wins on matchday five of San Marino’s futsal championship.

Pennarossa remain alone at the top, while Murata lose their unbeaten record and slip to third place. That’s the outcome of Monday’s matches in round five of the San Marino futsal championship: Tre Fiori beat the black-and-whites 5-0, La Fiorita thrash Cailungo 8-1, and Pennarossa overwhelm Fiorentino 12-3. Virtus and Juvenes Dogana draw 1-1.

The result that reshapes the standings at the top comes from the clash between Tre Fiori and Murata. After four straight wins, Screti’s side are stopped by Bugli’s yellow-and-blues. Oddone scores twice late in the first half and completes his hat-trick seven minutes into the second. In the closing stages, Bernardi adds a brace to make it 5-0. For Murata, it’s the end of an unbeaten run that had lasted since February 2024.

Benefiting from the black-and-whites’ defeat is La Fiorita, who claim their second consecutive win — and fourth overall — against Cailungo. In Acquaviva, Cevoli opens the scoring after three minutes, followed by Simone Chezzi and Zafferani. Antonelli scores Cailungo’s only goal, but La Fiorita keep pulling away: Matteo Chezzi, Cevoli again and Stacchini all find the net, while an own goal by Sarti seals the 8-1 scoreline. It’s Cailungo’s third straight defeat.

Pennarossa, meanwhile, continue their perfect run. Against Fiorentino, the score is already 6-0 before the twentieth minute, with goals from Busignani, Celli — who scores twice — Gasperoni, Stefanelli and goalkeeper Giusti. Rossini pulls one back for Fiorentino, but in the second half the red-and-whites strike again through Stefanelli, Maiani and Busignani. Benedettini and Giardi round off the scoring for the home side; on the other end, Busignani completes his hat-trick and Toccaceli and Gasperoni also find the net, sealing the final 12-3.

A tighter contest unfolds between Virtus and Juvenes Dogana, who stay level in the standings. In the 33rd minute, Juvenes Dogana lose goalkeeper Bucci to a straight red card, but manage to weather the spell down a man without conceding. Virtus go ahead in the 46th minute through Dolcini; in the 55th, Cecchini restores parity. The 1-1 draw brings both sides to five points, level with Tre Fiori, who now overtake Fiorentino, Folgore and Domagnano.

The round continues with the postponed matches: Libertas face Tre Penne on Tuesday evening, while Folgore and Domagnano will have their chance to respond in their respective fixtures on Wednesday and Thursday.
