A BMW with Italian plates reportedly struck at least two pedestrians after veering off the road at the exit of the Fiorina roundabout, heading towards Dogana.
The accident occurred this afternoon. According to initial reports from San Marino RTV, the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle.
The two pedestrians were taken to hospital. The more seriously injured is being treated at the State Hospital, while a possible transfer to the Bufalini Hospital in Cesena is being considered for the second, who sustained less severe injuries.
The driver reportedly suffered only minor injuries.
The downhill lane has been closed to traffic in the stretch between the former Symbol building and Serravalle to allow for inspections and the reconstruction of events.
