“An important step for the future of schooling and teaching.” That is how Secretary of State Teodoro Lonfernini described the conclusion of the union agreement on teaching staff and new recruitment methods, reached after three years of work and dialogue.
Lonfernini first highlighted the participatory nature of the process, which involved unions and staff representatives, avoiding, he noted, a decision “imposed from above.”
According to the Secretary of State, the agreement also introduces more modern tools and an updated recruitment process, fitting into the broader reform of San Marino’s school, education and training system.
The aim is also to enhance the value of the teaching profession and, building on the agreement reached, to foster an increasingly effective relationship between schools and staff. Lonfernini concluded by thanking all the parties who contributed to reaching the agreement.
