Villino Bonelli will host exhibitions, workshops, presentations and gatherings dedicated to Sammarinese art and creativity. A collaboration agreement for the shared management and promotion of the building has been signed, in the presence of the Secretary of State for Territory, Matteo Ciacci, and the artists of the Collettiva del Villino.
The initiative is promoted by the Secretariat of State for Territory and the Secretariat of State for Education and Culture. The agreement will allow the Collettiva to curate a program open to both residents and visitors. “The goal is to give local artists a place to exhibit, share experiences and bring the public closer to the many languages of creativity,” the statement reads.
Following the redevelopment work, Villino Bonelli is now preparing to welcome new cultural activities. “Painting, sculpture, photography, illustration, graphic design and artistic craftsmanship will be able to find space through initiatives compatible with the historical and architectural value of the building,” the statement specifies.
The Collettiva brings together artists who took part in the Nott’Arte experience, alongside other creative groups from the territory. The project also grew out of the initiative of Tony Margiotta, organizer of the event, and the shared desire to give continuity to opportunities for meeting and collaboration among Sammarinese artists.
“Villino Bonelli is not just an architectural asset returned to the community — today it becomes a living laboratory of culture and creativity. With this initiative, we want to give continuity to a path that showcases Sammarinese artists and offers them a space for expression and exchange. It is a concrete sign of how historical heritage can become a driver of cultural innovation and community participation,” said Matteo Ciacci.
The pact will have a one-year term, renewable. Activities will be organized through a shared calendar and a program agreed upon with the Secretariat of State, also in collaboration with USOT.
“The Collettiva will contribute to the organization and running of activities, taking on responsibilities for the care, cleaning and respectful use of the spaces involved,” the statement specifies. The collaboration also allows for the possible involvement of associations, organizations, professionals and other creative groups, with the aim of ensuring continuity for cultural programming.
