Two silver medals for San Marino at the AWA Games in Mandelieu-La Napoule, France. Elia Moroni and Simone Saraceni finished in second place in the 200-metre paddle pairs. Saraceni then went on to claim a second silver in the 50-metre double paddle.
The seventh edition of the international competition, organised by the Alison Wave Attitude association over the weekend of 3-4 October, brought together 11 clubs from six countries: France, Italy, San Marino, Spain, Lithuania and Latvia.
Athletes competed in Longe-Côte, a discipline that involves walking in water, with both bare-handed and paddle events. The programme also included the 800-metre pairs, held over a four-buoy course finishing on the beach.
Maria Rita Morganti, president of the San Marino Pierre de Coubertin Committee and vice-president of the San Marino National Fair Play Committee, took part in the awards ceremony, presenting the medals to the athletes on the podium.
