A new fixture in the Under-21 European Championship qualifiers awaits San Marino. This evening at 8:30 pm at the San Marino Stadium, the Titans host Kosovo, a side they already faced in the reverse fixture in Pristina.
Head coach Matteo Cecchetti approaches the match with a positive outlook. “I found the lads ready and motivated,” he explains. “There’s a great atmosphere in the dressing room and everyone has worked really hard.” The main goal is to make amends for the first-leg performance against a side that, as the coach points out, combines technical quality with physical strength. “In our last outings against Finland and Romania we improved a lot. We need to keep building on that.”
The match against Kosovo will be the first of three fixtures in quick succession for San Marino. In a week’s time, Spain will visit the Stadium, before the team flies to Nicosia to face Cyprus in the final match of Group A. “Playing three matches in a little over two weeks is something new for us,” Cecchetti adds. “We’re trying to take care of every detail to give our best right to the end.”
San Marino-Kosovo will be broadcast live on Titani.tv and on San Marino RTV.
