San Marino is once again in the cinematic spotlight. On Thursday, 24 September, at 9 pm, the Cinema Teatro Concordia in Borgo Maggiore will host a special screening of I colori della tempesta (“The Colours of the Storm”), a film directed by Roberto Dordit and dedicated to Pasquale Rotondi, the superintendent who saved thousands of Italian works of art during the Second World War.
The film, produced by QualityFilm together with Rai Cinema and Staragara, was partly shot in the Republic of San Marino. This connection is part of a broader initiative by the Secretariat of State for Tourism aimed at developing film tourism and promoting San Marino’s historical, architectural and natural heritage through audiovisual productions.
The evening will open with remarks from art historian Roberta Aliventi, director Roberto Dordit and Fabrizio Raggi, former head of San Marino’s Film Tourism office and organiser of the event. Admission is free.
The film will continue to be screened at the Cinema Teatro Concordia over the following two days, with a standard ticket price. The event is organised by the Secretariat of State for Tourism, in collaboration with the Cultural Institutes and the Secretariat of State for Education and Culture.
