Night of violence: two 16-year-olds chased and attacked, one stabbed

A dispute inside a nightclub in Bellaria escalated into a chase and assault, leaving one Milanese teenage tourist stabbed in the abdomen.

An argument that began inside a nightclub and appeared to end there, followed by a chase along the seafront and an assault on the way back to the hotel. According to the account given to police, this was the night of violence endured by two 16-year-old tourists from Milan, one of whom was stabbed in the abdomen while his friend was beaten with kicks and punches.

The incident reportedly began in Bellaria, where the two boys were spending the evening at a nightclub. Over trivial matters, apparently linked to some girls, an argument broke out with other young people. At first, the dispute seemed to have ended without further consequences.

The situation, however, allegedly deteriorated once they left the venue. According to the account given by the two 16-year-olds and their parents to police patrol officers, a large group of young men was waiting for them outside. The two tourists reportedly tried to get away and, after initially fleeing along the seafront, headed back toward the hotel where they were staying, in Torre Pedrera.

It was during their return that they were allegedly intercepted again by the group. At that point, one of the attackers reportedly pulled out a knife and struck one of the 16-year-olds in the abdomen, causing a fortunately superficial wound. At the same time, his friend was allegedly kicked and punched, sustaining bruises across various parts of his body.

Despite their injuries, both boys managed to reach the hotel and raise the alarm. Emergency medical crews and police responded to the scene. The stabbed teenager was taken to the Bufalini Hospital in Cesena, where he was treated and later discharged with a prognosis of seven days. The other 16-year-old was taken to the emergency room at the Infermi Hospital in Rimini.

It will now be up to investigators to reconstruct exactly what happened that night. The Rimini Police Headquarters (Questura) is reviewing footage from security cameras inside the venue and along the area where the incident took place. The aim is to corroborate the victims’ account, piece together every stage of the attack, and identify the young men believed to have taken part in the assault.
