San Marino Revival countdown: 185 kilometres and 65 timed trials

The 33rd edition of the historic rally takes shape, with entries open until 26 August and racing across San Marino, Valconca and Valmarecchia.

One hundred and eighty-five kilometres to cover and 65 timed trials across San Marino, Valconca and Valmarecchia. Preparations are now in full swing for the 33rd San Marino Revival, scheduled for Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August and counting as the tenth of twelve rounds in the season’s Italian Historic Car Regularity Championship (CIREAS). Entries for the competition will remain open until Wednesday 26 August, the deadline set for registrations.

Following the event’s postponement, the organizational machine coordinated by the FAMS (San Marino Automobile and Motorcycle Federation), together with the San Marino Racing Organization (SMRO), has resumed work on the event, which falls under Group C, Zone 3.

“Preparations for the race are proceeding smoothly,” the organizers said in a statement, which also provided an update on the condition of president Francesco Galassi, who is improving and intends to follow the competition closely.

The San Marino Revival will also be a key fixture for the championship standings, with several class groupings still to be decided. The programme confirms the Multieventi Sport Domus in Serravalle as the event’s headquarters. The venue will host scrutineering, race control, the event secretariat and the closing awards ceremony, and will also serve as the starting and finishing point for the crews.

The competition, however, will not remain confined to Titano soil. “The race will wind its way through the territory of San Marino and into the Conca (Marche) and Marecchia (Romagna) valleys,” the organizers explained, crossing an area with a long tradition tied to motorsport that recently also hosted the Rally di San Marino.

The 2026 route will measure 185 kilometres in total, along which crews will tackle 65 timed trials.

The programme will kick off on the afternoon of Saturday 29 August. From 1:30pm, scrutineering will open at the Multieventi Sport Domus. At 5:30pm, attention will shift to the area immediately surrounding the venue for the Power Stage Classic, the traditional show stage held over three timing points. “The traditional show stage over three timing points,” the statement reads, “will be filmed in full and broadcast by ACI SPORT on SKY channel 228.”

Sunday 30 August will be race day proper. The first car will set off at 9am, with the finish expected at 4:30pm. Officially closing the 33rd San Marino Revival will be the awards ceremony at 5:45pm at the Multieventi Sport Domus.
