A trip to Spain to remember for the San Marino Roller Sports Federation, which returned from the Quixote Inline Freestyle World Cup 2026 with a gold, a bronze and three top-ten finishes.
The standout performance came from Matilde Terenzi, who won the Slide event in the Junior Women category. After making it through qualifiers, the round of sixteen, quarterfinals and semifinals, the Sammarinese athlete triumphed in a high-level final against three Ukrainian competitors. Despite a mistake in one of her routines — discarded from the scoring as per regulations — Terenzi’s overall quality made the difference, securing her the World Cup title.
Also on the podium was Tommaso Terenzi, who took third place in the Junior Men’s Slide event. After advancing through the quarterfinals and semifinals, a fall during a combination in the final did not stop him from completing his remaining elements and securing the bronze medal. In the Senior Women’s category, Matilde Mina reached the semifinals, finishing the competition in seventh place.
Strong results also came in the Speed Slalom event. Matilde Terenzi finished ninth among the Junior Women with a time of 4.533 seconds, while Matilde Mina posted the seventh-fastest time among the Senior Women at 4.685, advancing to the knockout stage. Tommaso Terenzi, clocking 4.881 seconds, placed 14th among the Junior Men.
The team was accompanied to Spain by coach Enrico Callegarin. The final results confirm the growth of San Marino’s inline freestyle discipline: an international title, a bronze medal and three top-ten finishes in a world-class competition.
