One of the two men struck yesterday afternoon on Via V Febbraio in Fiorina remains in life-threatening condition. Both are in intensive care at the Bufalini Hospital in Cesena, with doctors withholding a prognosis.
According to San Marino RTV, one of the victims is in extremely serious condition, while the other has now stabilized.
The two men were on the sidewalk when they were struck by a high-performance BMW sports car. The crash involved three Italians, all in their early thirties, who were in San Marino for Rallylegend.
The driver, a resident of Verucchio, was taken to the State Hospital and underwent the blood and drug tests required by law. After being questioned by the Civil Police, he was released in the evening.
Officers gathered the evidence needed to reconstruct the incident and seized the car along with other items considered useful to the investigation.
