The adventure of San Marino’s women’s futsal team is back underway, as the squad prepares to tackle its second season in the CSI championship. The federation project, launched last year to broaden the movement and the pool of players of national interest, resumes with the technical staff led by Mattia Casadei entirely confirmed.
Preparations began about a month ago with two training sessions a week, and now it’s time for matches. Compared to the debut season, the squad has grown significantly in numbers, while the connection with the women’s national team has become ever closer, as that side prepares for its first official matches and the UEFA Women’s Nations League 2027.
The start of the league season brings two fixtures in quick succession: on Friday at 9.30pm, an away trip to Castrocaro Terme to face Derby 2.0, followed by a home debut on Sunday at 6.30pm at the Acquaviva gymnasium against Cesena C5.
