It’s not just about the races at the Misano World Circuit. The Red Bull Grand Prix of San Marino and the Riviera di Rimini, scheduled from 11 to 13 September, will be accompanied by a week of events involving San Marino, Rimini, Riccione, Cattolica, Misano Adriatico and Coriano, bringing riders and motorsport-related initiatives beyond the track itself.
It’s called The Riders’ Land Experience, the official calendar of side events organised by the local authorities of the Province of Rimini together with San Marino’s Secretariat of State for Sport, the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Misano World Circuit.
“This is one of the aspects that has always most distinguished our event, and today more than ever it is used by MotoGP as a benchmark format internationally,” said the promoters — the Republic of San Marino, the Emilia-Romagna Region, the Province of Rimini and the Misano World Circuit. “Seeing public and private sectors working in harmony to put forward initiatives capable of conveying the festive atmosphere and the passion for motorsport that is part of our DNA represents an icon of how we think about a joined-up event. We want to share this atmosphere not only with the Grand Prix crowd, but also with the many tourists present on the Riviera and in the areas involved. It’s a way to further amplify the reach of the event and its effects on the local area. We’re ready for another week defined by sport, spectacle and passion.”
The first event is set for Tuesday 8 September at 6pm in San Marino with “Cronotitano Hill Climb – The Trailer,” a preview of the project that, from 2027, will bring a team hill-climb time trial reserved for MotoGP teams to the slopes of Monte Titano.
The evening will feature Marco Bezzecchi and Enea Bastianini, alongside former Italian national cycling team coach Davide Cassani, Sky Sport MotoGP commentator Mauro Sanchini and cyclist Letizia Paternoster. The programme includes a two-wheeled time-trial challenge and a meet-and-greet with fans in Piazza della Libertà.
On Wednesday it will be Rimini’s turn to welcome the riders. From 5.30pm, in Piazzale Kennedy in front of the Belvedere, the FIBA 3×3 MotoGP Showcase will take place: Marco Bezzecchi, Francesco Bagnaia and Franco Morbidelli will take to the court alongside players and stars of 3×3 basketball.
On Thursday 10 September, inside the Misano circuit, the spotlight will turn to the first edition of “TH – Women Behind Every Race,” a project dedicated to the role of women in motorsport, aimed in particular at younger generations.
The calendar will move into full swing on Friday 11 September. In San Marino, the Grand Hotel will host a round-table discussion from 3pm to 5.30pm on sport as a driver of development for Europe’s small states, while in Coriano, at 7pm, the Sic Flame dedicated to Marco Simoncelli will be lit in a special ceremony: the flame will burn for 58 seconds, echoing the rider’s race number.
In Rimini, from 7pm on the Lungomare Claudio Tintori near the Ferris wheel, the Red Bull Riders’ Night will take place, featuring freestyle performances, stunts by rider Aras and an entertainment area. The city will also be the finish point of the KTM parade.
In Riccione, Viale Ceccarini will host simulators, arcade games and official MotoGP team show bikes, while in Cattolica the two-day Cattolica Ride Week will kick off, featuring mini-bikes for children, displays of MotoGP-class motorcycles, meetings with riders, music, DJ sets and Riders Talk sessions.
In Misano Adriatico, DediKato will also return for its twentieth edition, with shows and performances at Arena 58 and in the town centre.
On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, in Rimini, Piazzale Kennedy will also host “Hobby Sport, sali in moto” (“Hobby Sport, hop on a bike”), giving children and teenagers aged 6 to 14 the chance to try a mini-bike for free, with protective gear and assistance from federal technical staff.
Also on Saturday, the Fanzone at the Misano World Circuit will host Nameless, bringing artists such as Steve Angello, Crookers, EDMMARO and Fenoaltea to the stage from 6pm. In Coriano, from 11pm in Piazza Don Minzoni, the traditional end-of-summer “Moto Sbaraccata” gathering will take place.
Finally, over the weekend there will be a special opening of the Sic Museum (“La Storia del Sic”) in Coriano, rounding off the calendar of initiatives accompanying the three days of the Grand Prix across the region.
