Tre Penne held back, Virtus joins them at the top as Guidotti hat-trick powers Cosmos

Tre Penne's unbeaten run is checked by Tre Fiori, letting Virtus draw level at the summit of San Marino's championship, while Cosmos crush San Marino Academy 4-0.

Tre Penne were held to a 0-0 draw by Tre Fiori, allowing Virtus to draw level at the top thanks to a narrow win over Juvenes Dogana. Friday’s matches in matchday six reshuffled the balance of power at the summit of the San Marino championship, with Folgore just a point off the leading pair ahead of their Sunday clash with Libertas. Meanwhile, Cosmos routed San Marino Academy 4-0, with Guidotti scoring a hat-trick, while Pennarossa and San Giovanni shared the points in a 2-2 draw.

At Montecchio, Tre Penne’s winning streak came to an end, and they have Andreani to thank above all for keeping a clean sheet. Tre Fiori started strongly and came close to taking the lead after five minutes with a shot from Ben Kacem, starting in place of the unavailable Prandelli: the goalkeeper responded with a superb one-handed save. Ceccaroli, in the 23rd minute, and Benedettini, in the 29th, both went close, before Bernardi fired over the bar in the 38th minute.

Tre Fiori continued to press in the second half, again through Ben Kacem, but couldn’t find a way through. The last chance came in the 88th minute, when Andreani denied Sami’s long-range effort to secure the draw. It’s Tre Fiori’s first point dropped this season, leaving the top of the table just three points apart.

Virtus seized the opportunity to claim their fifth consecutive win, beating Juvenes Dogana 1-0. Luca Cecchetti threatened early on, before Colonna parried an attempt from Badalassi with his foot in the 20th minute. It was Badalassi himself who settled the match in the 63rd minute, heading home from a Buonocunto corner kick for his second goal of the season.

Acquaviva’s side nearly doubled their lead when Lisanti found Bakalyar in his path in the 71st minute, with the defender clearing almost off the line. Still, Badalassi’s strike was enough to secure all three points and draw level with Tre Penne.

In Dogana, the night belonged to Guidotti and Cremonini, who combined for all four of Cosmos’s goals against San Marino Academy. Cremonini opened the scoring in the 10th minute: Ulloa advanced down the left and set up his teammate, who shifted the ball onto his left foot and found the net. In the 25th minute, Amici produced a fine save to deny a Guidotti header, who then failed to convert the rebound.

The striker made amends in the 44th minute, heading in a Cremonini cross to make it 2-0. Just fifteen seconds into the second half, the same duo combined again for the third goal: Cremonini’s assist and Guidotti’s clinical finish. The fourth arrived in the 52nd minute, with another surging run and cross from Cremonini finding his teammate, who made no mistake in closing out the game.

Guidotti’s hat-trick took him to the top of the scoring charts with six goals, while Cremonini finished the match with a goal and three assists. The game also featured two fine saves, from Semprini in the 59th minute and Amici in the 75th. Cosmos claimed their fourth straight win, moving level with Tre Fiori in fourth place.

In Acquaviva, Pennarossa came from behind twice against San Giovanni, who played with ten men from the 34th minute and saw victory slip away deep into stoppage time. D’Orsi broke the deadlock in the 10th minute with a first-time strike off a pass from Rushani. The lead lasted only seconds, however: Marco Evaristi struck the post from distance, and Guida pounced on the rebound to make it 1-1.

Zanni’s sending-off left San Giovanni a man down. In the 38th minute, Casadei kept his side afloat by saving a shot from Abouzziane, before San Giovanni retook the lead in the 49th minute: Rushani delivered the corner kick and Osmani headed home. Pennarossa, however, found a 2-2 equaliser in stoppage time through Mema, set up by Guida.

The matchday continues on Saturday, October 24, at 3pm, with Murata-Domagnano at Montecchio and Fiorentino-Cailungo in Acquaviva. On Sunday, October 25, also at 3pm, Folgore take on Libertas at Montecchio with a chance to reclaim sole possession of first place, while Faetano face La Fiorita in Acquaviva.
